Atlantic have now acquired their 6th and probably most prestigious site in Chingford. “We had our eye on the site for a while now. And when we heard it was on the market, my partner Tas and I cut our summer holidays with our families short, to secure the purchase of this landmark building” said the development director George Leonidas.
We only just missed out on the Leyton Town Hall site, so we were not going to lose this one!
Talks with the Local Authority are at their infancy, however, we intend to meet with the local community for their valued feedback and views on the future of the site.
Atlantic held the official launch for the Dolphin Yard development, those who attended included the Hertford mayor Cllr Kim Darby, local councillors, planning officials, press and active members of the local community. The launch allowed Atlantic to meet all interested parties and outline their plans and commitment to the development of the residential flats and public library.
Following the move of our centre of operations into the London Borough of Waltham Forest, Atlantic have been keen to find and support a project that will give something to the local community. We are now proud to announce to be working in partnership with and the sponsorship of the “Waltham Forest Gators” the official Borough of Waltham Forest Swimming Club (BWFSC). The Gators also share our commitment to excellence and the belief in providing opportunities for the youth in our community.
The Borough of Waltham Forest Swimming Club (BWFSC) was formed in 1986 through a joint initiative of the Borough Swimming Clubs and the local Borough Council. The amalgamation led to a period of growth and measured success with locally produced athletes that would have a significant importance on County, National and International Levels.
The Club has enjoyed many years of producing quality athletes as well as competitive youngsters at all levels of competition and has been awarded Swim21 Accreditation at Performance Level.
The Club continues to attract children at the earliest age to undergo the basic skills of water safety, swimming techniques and further on to competitive levels of the sport.
The specific programmes within the Club allow for swimmers at these levels to compete as a team and as individuals for swimming events leading up to international level. The club has won many competitions and produced National and British Champions, with members of the Gators having represented Britain at European, World and Olympic Championship level.
The sponsorship money we have invested into the “Gators” will go towards providing much needed new uniforms and kit as well as contributing towards the costly transport and accommodation expenses involved with attending competitive swimming events, meaning the club can concentrate on what it does best, swimming!
As part of the company's continued growth and progression, Atlantic have moved into new larger premises within the Higham Park area in which to relocate and establish it's expanding center of operations.
Located very close to local amenities, serviced by excellent transport links - road, bus and train, Atlantic House is convenient and easily accessible for all visitors.
